MobaXterm

MobaXterm Instructions

If a user is not able to open a previous or new SSH server sessions it is because the home directory and root directory must be changed to the users Z drive.  This is done by opening MobaXterm, clicking on settings then configuration and change the Persistent Home Directory to your Z drive which will show as Z:\ and when you change the Persistent root directory to your Z drive it will show as Z:\slash then click ok.

MobaXterm can be accessed through either RDWeb Access or the Remote Desktop server. When starting MobaXterm, the XServer should start automatically. Check the XServer menu to confirm:

  • If the menu shows Stop XServer, it means XServer is active, and GUI applications will function correctly.
  • If the menu shows Start XServer, it means XServer has not started, and certain applications, like Cadence, will not work until it is active.
