To prevent unwanted access to your device, make sure to lock it when you step away and setup automatic locks after idle.
Windows
Go to Windows, type in “Screen Saver”, select “Screen Saver Settings”, and check “On resume, display logon screen”.
- Hit the keyboard combination of “Windows Key” + “L”
or - Hit “Ctrl”+”Alt”+”Del” / Click on Lock
Apple macOS
Go in to System Preferences, click on Security & Privacy, and check “Require password…”
- Press Control + Command + Q
